Solicitation Permits
Permits are required for solicitation in Dunbar Borough. Permit applications can be obtained by contacting our Borough Office by phone, email, or by completing this form. This is outlined in Ordinance 309
Burning
Burning Days for Dunbar Borough are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Permitted Materials: You can burn clean wood, charcoal, natural gas, and commercially available fire logs. Paper and smokeless fire starters are also allowed to start fires.
Prohibited Materials: It’s unlawful to burn materials that cause noxious or offensive odors, . This also includes demolition waste, insulation, and treated wood, among others.
Nuisance Fires: Burning may be considered a nuisance if it creates excessive smoke or odors that affect neighbors. Local officials or law enforcement can order you to extinguish a fire that is not in compliance
Trash Collection
As outlined in Ordinance 310 in the Ordinances and Resolutions, Every person shall have garbage collection from an approved hauler/vendor for regular trash/rubbish collection.
Buying/Selling Real Estate
As outlined in Ordinance 311, a Dye Test is required when buying/selling a Real Estate. Please contact the Sewage Authority for further information on scheduling of the Dye Test.
